Mild hyperbaric therapy (mHBOT) is a treatment delivered in a specialized medical
device, a hyperbaric chamber, that utilizes filtered ambient air at 1.3 ATA, a slightly
higher-than-normal atmospheric pressure (1.0 ATA). Under these conditions, oxygen is
absorbed more efficiently into the body—directly into the blood plasma, cerebrospinal
fluid, and lymph fluid—allowing it to reach tissues that may have reduced blood flow
due to chronic inflammation, tissue damage, chronic illness, and acute or chronic injuries,
thereby supporting the body’s ability to heal and repair those injured tissues.
mHBOT allows for healing at the mitochondrial level, supporting healing from the
body’s foundation. It is only from a strong foundation of healthy cells, organs, and organ
systems that the body can functional properly and maintain health.
The following beneficial mechanisms are responsible for the majority of healing that occurs across dozens of conditions:
- Nerve healing and neuron regeneration
- Neovascularization
- Wound healing
- Mitochondrial healing
- Increase in release of stem cells
- Vasoconstriction
- Anti-inflammatory
- Increase in white blood cell mobilization
- Antimicrobial effects
As mHBOT heals damaged tissue, it is also a powerful tool to support wellness and
longevity—repairing existing damage while making future damage less likely to occur.
Regular sessions of mHBOT improve the body’s ability to tolerate and neutralize free
radicals, resulting in reduced oxidative damage, overall inflammation, and tissue damage.
Decreasing inflammation while healing the mitochondria help maintain energy levels,
cognitive health and adaptability, and tissue resilience. When mitochondria are healthy,
they maintain proper cell voltage, release growth factors, and ensure cellular division,
further interrupting the cycle of chronic inflammation.
Furthermore, increasing white blood cell activity strengthens the immune system’s ability
to combat bacteria, viruses, and fungi, significantly improving its effectiveness in
carrying out a normal inflammatory response. Flooding affected areas with
oxygen—either from new vascularization or oxygen dissolved in blood
plasma—provides necessary raw materials, such as white blood cells, to be delivered to
infection sites to neutralize damage, fight the threat, and remove waste products.
Long-term benefits of mHBOT include the regenerative effects of neurogenesis,
mitogenesis, and angiogenesis. This leads to continued proper oxygenation of all tissues
after hyperbaric sessions are complete, as new vasculature allows for normal and
sustained blood flow.
Integrating mild HBOT into a lifestyle that includes exercise and proper nutrition is a
powerful investment in long-term wellness, ensuring the body is not only free from acute
illness but actively operating at its highest potential.
The FDA has approved higher-pressure hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), at 1.5
ATA–3.0 ATA, for several medical conditions, including carbon monoxide poisoning,
diabetic foot wounds, and radiation-related injuries. In addition, it is increasingly used in
clinical settings for a range of off-label applications supported by emerging research,
such as traumatic brain injury, dementia, autoimmune conditions, concussions, long
COVID, Lyme disease, and many others. Although insurance coverage does not extend
to every evidence-supported use, many patients and healthcare providers utilize
hyperbaric therapy as a complementary approach to promote healing, decrease
inflammation, and support overall quality of life.

About Us
My journey into health and wellness has been shaped by both lived experience and clinical practice.
I am a former collegiate and professional athlete whose early years were
defined by discipline, resilience, and a deep respect for the body’s ability to
adapt and heal. That foundation ultimately led me into nursing, where I
earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cleveland State University in
2008. Until 2014, I had the privilege of caring for patients across a wide
range of health challenges and witnessing firsthand both the strengths—and
the limitations—of our healthcare system; a system that often makes finding
true wellness feel like an uphill battle especially in the face of accumulating
environmental stressors. We need more tools to support the body’s natural
ability to keep itself healthy.
Hyperbaric therapy revealed itself to me not as an alternative to medicine,
but as a powerful, underutilized tool that has the potential to support
healing, recovery, and resilience. In 2021, my perspective shifted in a
revelatory way. I witnessed a close friend find profound relief from side
effects of chemotherapy using a hyperbaric chamber at home. Watching her
progress raised an important question for me: why don’t more people know
about this?
That question became a turning point.
As I explore the science and growing body of clinical research, it is clear that
access and awareness—not lack of effectiveness – are the real barriers.
This is why I am here—to bridge the gap between my personal journey with
hyperbarics, my clinical background as a registered nurse, and to bring this
therapy safely and responsibly to the community.
In March 2026, I joined the International Hyperbarics Association (IHA) and
became a certified hyperbaric safety director by the International Board of
Undersea Medicine (IBUM) to deepen my knowledge and ensure that my
hyperbaric services are guided by the latest research, safety standards, and
best practices. My commitment is to education, advocacy, and expanding
access to hyperbaric therapy in a thoughtful, evidence-informed way.
My goal is to help create a community where people feel empowered with
knowledge, supported by innovative tools, and given more options on their
path toward wellness.
